We reported on Tuesday that popular American
rapper and entrepreneur, Kanye West met with
President-elect, Donald Trump on Tuesday
morning, the latest in a series of sometimes
surprising visitors to Trump Tower in New York
city.
“Just friends. Just friends, and he’s a good man,”
Trump told reporters in the lobby, responding to
questions about the purpose of their meeting.
“We’ve been friends for a long time,” the
businessman-turned-politician added.
The hip hop mogul who refused to say anything
when the duo addressed the press after their
meeting, later took to his Twitter account to
explain the reason behind his visit.
Kanye West, rapper/producer, says it’s important
to have a direct line of communication with Donald
Trump, U.S president-elect.
He said: “I wanted to meet with Trump today to
discuss multicultural issues. These issues included
bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing
curriculums, and violence in Chicago.
“I feel it is important to have a direct line of
communication with our future President if we
truly want change,” he added.
The rapper who had earlier signified his intention
to run for the American presidency also shared a
hashtag, saying “2024” .
