The queen Moremi Ajasoro pageantry held on the 30th and 31st of October 2017 at the Ooni’s palace Enuwa Ile-Ife Osun State Nigeria.
The Queen Moremi Ajasoro Pagentry is expected and will be the biggest Cultural Pageant in Nigeria.
The audition which lasted two (2) days had over 200 beautiful young ladies present. The audition kicked off each day with the empowerment and monitorship program hosted by the international Women Society (IWS)
EMPOWERMENT AND MENTORSHIP
The empowerment program saw audition saw the presence of a number of dignified speakers in person of
Mrs Leslie Okoye (Skin care / Personal care speaker)
Mrs Dolao Cover (Nutrition and Healthy living Speaker)
Mrs Nneoma Effonga (personal development and empowerment speaker) along side her team (OMSLICHA –See, Believer, Become)
Mrs Pauline Tomuin (Education and Empowerment Speaker).
Also, there was also in attendance
Princess Ronke Ademiluyi (Global Heritage Ambassador Qma Intemation).
Mrs. Ego Boyo ( president, International Women Society (IWS) and her team and not to forget the representative – Miss Laurel of the British Commisioner and a host of others whose name may have been unintentionally omitted .
The empower ship and mentorship program was so wonderfully structured that there is no doubt that each of the ladies went back to their various homes fully equipped and further empowered than when they first arrived.
The speakers spoke on topics ranging from health and lifestyle, to skincare and personal hygiene, to executing academically and personal character development.
Some of the major quotes at the program were;
“you are not a colour and as a result, your beauty is a gift and it shouldn’t be downplayed” Mrs Leslie Okoye.
“the greates endowment of wealth is keeping your health” Mrs Dolapo Coker
“everyone is beautiful, but you can’t see the beauty inside of you, no one can see the beauty outside” Pauline Tomlin
“there is no beauty without brains that is, no one was created as just a pretty face, everyone has got something more inside” Nneoma Effonga
In conclusion, the empowerment and mentorship program was an avenue for everyone particularly the ladies to lean and unlean certain patterns. It allowed for questions and answer, after the event, there is no doubt that every attendance went back to their various homes with the understanding that “It is great to me”
AUDITIONS
The auditions itself kicked off immediately after the empowerment program after lunch. And it was extremely thinking to the ladies and everyone present to see the Guest Judge in person of a Odunlade Adekola a wonderful son of Oodua.
The ladies were called in one after the other, questions were asked and they were observed by the judges. What must have been the best part of the audition would be the time where all the girls met with the Ooni gaga 1 of Ile-Ife right before the audition kicked off.
The audition was totally thorough, fair and without any element of bias whatsoever.
The finalist have been selected and they have all begun their journey to being crowned the next Queen Moremi Ajasoro.
Next destination is the Queen Moremi Ajasoro Cultural pageantry camp exercise.
