Rising each and every morn
To see beautiful faces cry and mourn

To see the land where I was born
In disarray and poverty

And her inhabitants,
Dwelling in the pit of despair and calamity
But her leaders only want more property

Many a times I thought of running
But then I thought again
Why don't I participate in the running
So we can all enjoy the gain...

Nigeria my home
