It is trite that resoluteness to be a hotshot lawyer is predicated on readiness of budding lawyers to "take the bull by the horns" vis-à-vis a good blend of requisite knowledge and timely exposure.
Thus, Law Students' Society, Obafemi Awolowo University has consistently shown interest in emerging areas of law and the opportunities available to young lawyers.
Having organized two editions of this conference.
*The first was titled “Legal Career Opportunities Conference – Beyond the Bar”* and the second, *“Leadership and Legal Career Opportunities Conference – Wig & Gown”*. Both initiatives met resounding success.
The NLCOC seeks to promote and project the initiative to a national stage. This way, all universities can benefit.

The *National Legal Career Opportunity Conference* will be a gathering of over 20 universities across Nigeria.
It aims to address the aspects of law practice which appear oblivious and novel to law students.
The conference is tagged : “TOMORROW’S LAW TODAY; THE PRACTICE OF LAW IN AN EVOLVING SOCIETY AND THE UPSHOT OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG LAWYERS”.
The conference will attempt a panoptic exposition to futuristic fields of law so that law students embrace specialization.
It would afford students avenue to voice their concerns while invited speakers would address these concerns via the panel session. At the end, law students would be convinced that the practice of law can be integrated with whatever area of interest they fancy.
